A lecturer at Foreign Links College of Health Technology, Moro, Osun State, Dr Nsikak Akpan, has clocked over 105-hour in a bid to set a new world record for longest lecture hour.
Akpan embarked on a 150-hour marathon lecture began the exercise in the early hours of Monday, September 23, 2024, at the institution’s campus.
On Friday, the official page where the exercise was livestreamed showed that Dr. Akpan has lectured for over 105-hour in the ongoing marathon.

According to the lecturer, the marathon lecture focuses on “Relationships between Man’s Environment and Health.”
Akpan also said an Indian Prof. Arvin Mishra currently holds the crown of longest marathon lecture records of 139 hours, 52 minutes, and 42 seconds, which was set in the year 2014.
