1m Vote For Tinubu: Oyetola Living In A Fool’s Paradise – Osun Youths 4 Atiku

A group of youths working for the victory of the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, in 2023 election has described Governor Adeboyega Oyetola as a man living in a fool’s paradise.

The group, Osun Youths 4 Atiku, said only a man living in the fool’s paradise could promise to deliver one million votes for somebody when he could not garner 500,000 votes for himself in the July 16 governorship election.

According to the group, Oyetola is pretending not to know that he and the All Progressives Congress (APC) have been rejected in the state, adding that the people of the State are determined to pass vote of no confidence on them in the February 2023 presidential election.

Addressing members and journalists at the inauguration of local government chapters of the group on Friday, the Convener of the group, Barr. Pelumi Olajengbesi, said the group will work with other PDP stakeholders to deliver Osun for Atiku in the coming election.

Olajengbesi added that the group will also mobilise vote for all the candidates of the PDP in the general elections, stating that they are determined to ‘uproot’ APC in the state and in Nigeria at large.

He said: “The governor is actually living on no man’s land. The governor could not even afford to gather 500,000 votes for himself; someone who cannot feed himself is thinking of feeding Tinubu.

“We do not think Oyetola is a serious person because you can’t take someone who cannot afford to deliver himself from electoral defeat serious.

“If you look at the votes that Oyetola was able to secure in the last election, these votes are not discernible politically, the people of Osun voted for PDP but Oyetola managed to buy votes and despite the transaction, he could not win the election.

“We cannot wait for him to exit government come November 26. Oyetola should not worry about the coming election. Oyetola should be worried about the fact of his disposition for refusing to congratulate the Governor-elect has built for him a statute of shame in Osun State.”

On Atiku’s candidature, Olajengbesi said: “Our people need a new way of hope; our party, the Peoples Democratic Party is poised to give the people of Nigeria a new direction with Atiku Abubakar as the president.

“We, the Osun Youth 4 Atiiku, are prepared to galvanize young people, old and men and women across the state in particular and the people in general towards delivering massive vote for the flagbearer of the come 2023. To achieve this aim, we have today integrated our local government chapters and 323 Coordinators across all the wards of the 30 local government and Area Council.

“Our goal is to mobilise Nigerians, the people of Osun State to use our votes to replace the callous set of leaders in the current ruling party in 2023.

“Essentially, the essence of this press conference is to give clarion call to the disciples of change across Osun state; there is need for us to liberate this country from the penumbra of social political darkness.”
