By Nofisat Marindoti

Governor of the State of Osun, Mr Gboyega Oyetola has appreciated the residents of the State for voting for the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, in the just concluded 2019 general elections.

Oyetola gave the kudos at the residence of the former Governor of the State, Chief Bisi Akande, in Ila on Monday, where a victory party was held for all the newly elected lawmakers of APC both in the State and the National Assembly.

The Governor assured the people of dividends of democracy that would cut across the nooks and crannies of the State.

According to the Governor, the victory would make it easier for him to deliver democracy dividends to the people, as most of the elected lawmakers from the state are under one political party which is the APC.

The APC had won 22 seats out of the 25 Assembly seats so far declared by INEC, won 6 out of 9 House of Representatives elective positions and 2 out of 3 Senatorial districts in the State.

Those present at the event included the Deputy Governor of the State, Mr Benedict Alabi, APC party Chairman, Prince Adegboyega Famodun, and all the State elected candidates for National and state Assembly.
