No fewer than two All Progressive Congress (APC) members in osun state were reportedly axed by suspected Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) members in Kajola of Atakumosa west local government area of the state.
The incident which occurred last Friday, a night to the conduct of the postponed Presidential and National Assembly elections, left several others wounded as a result of different degree of injuries sustained on different parts of their bodies.
The axed persons were the Iyaloja of Atakumosa west local government, Mrs. adegboku Iyabode and her son, Olalekan Jimoh who are currently receiving medical treatment at an undisclosed hospital.
The Iyaloja who got her legs axed and the son who got one of his fingers cut due to unleashed severe attack launched on him by the evil perpetrators were in serious pains while speaking with newsmen.
Narrating her ordeal yesterday, Mrs. Adegboku stated that, they were in a meeting on the fateful night when the hoodlums atta led them and frowned at the development she described as inhuman.
He however called on the concerned authorities who are the security agents yo act fast by investigating the case and bring the perpetrators of the act to book.
Also,Francis famurewa, Chairman, Atakumosa west local government, described the act as barbaric and hinted that,the case had been reported to the appropriate quarters.
Famurewa wondered why politics could generate to the point of maiming one another
and called on the police to expedite action in righting all wrongs because of the future occurrence.
