2022 World Cup: Super Eagles Play Mexico

The Super Eagles of Nigeria will play against Mexico in a friendly match ahead of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

The men’s national team failed to qualify for the competition in Qatar, however, Mexico is among the twenty-nine countries that have already booked their places in the tournament.

Mexico qualified for the World Cup alongside the United States of America and Canada from North America.

The Super Eagles of Nigeria made it to the final round of African qualification but lost out after drawing 1-1 with the Black Stars of Ghana at the Moshood Abiola Stadium in Abuja.

The Black Stars of Ghana joined Senegal, Cameroon, Tunisia, and  Morocco to raise the Africa banner at the tournament.

The Mexico team led by Gerardo Martino will play against the Super Eagles in September.

The friendly games are part of the four matches lined up to prepare Mexico for the challenges at the World Cup, according to Medio Tiempo.

Mexico has been drawn into Group C against Argentina, Poland, and Saudi Arabia in Qatar.
