A leading House of Representative aspirant for Ifelodun, Offa and Oyun federal Constituency in kwara State, Ishola Olateju has denied rumors of stepping down being spread on social media.
Reacting to the rumour by the Federal lawmaker hopeful media team in a statement on Saturday, described the rumour as Political propaganda from desperate opponents.
Olateju accused his opponents whom he said are afraid of his rising popularity for spreading the ungodly rumour to attract undue advantage.
The statement reads in part, “I have been undaunted with calls and messages from my supporters across the country and beyond, demanding explanation on the rumours that I have stepped down, let me assure our supporters across my constituency and our friends both in Nigeria and diaspora that, we are in the race to win and nothing can stop us from rewriting the story of our federal Constituency” Olateju said.
“For the umpteenth time, and for the purpose of clarity, I am in the race, I have not stepped down and I will not step down.
“The general public, members of our party and most importantly the electorate that are yearning for a permanent change should disregard the rumour and keep praying for us as we match to victory in few days”.
