The Independent National Electoral Commission in Osun has commenced
distribution of Permanent Voters Card (PVC) across the local governments in the state.
INEC made the disclosure in a statement issued by the Resident Electoral Commissioner, Dr. Mutiu Olaleke AGBOKE, in Osogbo on Thursday night.
The statement reads, “This is to inform the general public that the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC, in readiness towards the 2023 general election and to ensure no one is unduly disenfranchised, has released 20,860 Permanent Voters Cards for collection by the rightful owners in Osun.
“These PVCs were received from INEC national headquarters on Wednesday 30th November, 2022 and has been batched and moved to all 30 Local Government Area Offices of the Commission in the State.
“The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Osun State hereby calls on the general public most especially all eligible Voters who are yet to collect their Permanent Voters Cards, including those who transferred from one Polling Unit to another, to visit the INEC office in the Local Government Area where they registered in Osun State between the hours of 9am to 3pm daily.
“Please note that you are to come with your Registration Slip issued to you during Registration Exercise in exchange for the Permanent Voters Cards (PVCs). Collection by proxy is not allowed, please.
