2023: INEC Meets NYSC, Expresses Readiness For Elections
As the preparation for the 2023 general elections continue to gather pace, the Chairman, Independent National Electoral Commission(INEC), Prof. Mahmoud Yakubu, on Friday, visited the National Headquarters of the National Youth Service Corp with a declaration that “we are set”.
It was reported that he was accompanied by senior members of the commission, National Commissioners and Directors.
He said, “Nigeria cannot conduct any successful election without the active participation of corp members as ad-hoc staff.
The NYSC acting Director-General, Christy Uba, demanded the review of the allowances of corp members by the NYSC in view of the prevailing economic situation in the country.”
