Some National Assembly candidates of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), for the 2023 general elections in the State of Osun have endorsed the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu.
The NNPP candidates while speaking at a press conference in Osogbo, attributed their decisions to lack of transparency, justice and undemocratic running of the party at the national level.
The candidates are, Mr Bamgbola Clement, Osun Central Senatorial District, Mr Akinyode Bolaji, Osun West Senatorial District, Fabayo Olalekan, Boluwaduro/ Ifedayo/Ila Federal Constituency and Ajayi Oluwaseyi of Ijesa South Federal Constituency.
Reading the text of the press conference, Clement said, “In view of the prevailing circumstances within our party and after due consultation and approval of our supporters, we wish to announce and declare our support and endorsement to the All Progressives Congress presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.
“This is as a result of our dissatisfaction with the leadership of the party at the National level, coupled with the inability of the party stakeholders to work in accordance with the principle of justice, law and undemocratic running of the party”.
The candidates said good governance and dividends of democracy can be enjoyed if Tinubu becomes the president.
“On desire to enjoy good governance and dividends of democracy which can be realized under a new Nigeria can be find in the APC presidential candidate”.
