Senator Rochas Okorocha, apairants for the post of the president on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, (APC) Tuesday night appeared before the Chief John Odigie-Oyegun led Presidential Screening Committee of the ruling party.
The presidential hopeful appeared after he was granted bail following his arrest by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, (EFCC) over an allegation of the embezzlement of N2.9 billion while he was governor of Imo State.
The court had on Tuesday granted bail to Okorocha to the tune of N500million with one surety in like sum.
Justice Inyang Ekwo of the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja had granted bail to Okorocha to the tune of N500million with one surety in like sum, this was after his lawyers dismissed a counter-affidavit the EFCC filed against him.
The judge also ordered Okorocha to deposit his international passport with the registry of the court.
