The Senator representing Osun East Senatorial District in the National Assembly, Senator Francis Fadahunsi has described those milling around the National leader of the ruling All Progressives Congress, (APC) Ahmed Bola Tinubu since declaring his presidential aspirations as those looking for what to eat.
Fadahunsi said most of them are not his genuine supporters but are out for what to eat as a result of poverty.
The Federal lawmaker made this assertion when asked to react to Tinubu’s presidential ambition during an interactive session with journalists ahead of the 2023 general election.
Fadahunsi also said it is maintained that it is not clear where the APC will zone her presidential ticket until after the party produces a chairman.“You can’t have a national chairman and presidential candidate from the same zone”, he said.
He added, “It’s regrettable that my party, the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP) is losing ground in the South West, especially Ekiti state through the former governor of the State, Ayo Fayose, and now, the next target of Tinubu’s APC in Osun State.”
When asked to comment on the crisis between the State of Osun Governor, Gboyega Oyetola, and the Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola, Fadahunsi said “people should ask the duo why father and son are fighting”, adding, “they are the only ones who know why they are fighting.”
The senator also described as artificial the launch of the rice pyramid by President Buhari’s government on Tuesday, insisting that all was not well with the nation.
“The North cannot feed us again because of the problem it is facing”, concluding that all the country needed is to “let the institutions work,” he added.
