2024 Hajj: 1, 245 Osun Pilgrims To Embark On Holy Pilgrimage
THE Osun State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board has registered a total of 1,245 pilgrims for the 2024 Hajj operation ahead of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) deadline.
The chairman of the board, Sheikh Maruf Ishola, said the total amount to be paid by each pilgrim from the state was N4,899,000.
Ishola, during an interactive session between the intending pilgrims and officials on Tuesday in Osogbo, charged the intending visitors to the holy land to imbibe acceptable conduct in a bid to achieve a rewarding exercise.
The chairman said the increment in this year’s fare was a result of foreign exchange, disclosing that the state government subsidised the fare to enable intending pilgrims to participate.
Speaking at the programme, the Senior Special Adviser to Governor Ademola Adeleke on Osun Muslim Pilgrims Welfare, Alhaja Bolatito Adedeji, said suitable accommodation and other important facilities had been put in place in Saudi Arabia.
