2026: Ejigbo Traditional Rulers Rally Support For Salaam
- As Residents Defy Heavy Downpour To Welcome Him
Traditional Rulers in Ejigbo Local Government Area of Osun State, have thrown their weight behind the candidate of the African Democratic Congress, Dr. Najeem Salaam ahead of the August 15, 2026 governorship election in the state.
The monarchs while speaking during Salaam’s visit to Ejigbo and Ife-Odan towns on Tuesday, hailed him for his good conduct since the inception of the campaign activities.
The Adimula of Ife-Odan, Oba Adeyemi Emmanuel Morontade stressed commended the ADC for picking Ejigbo son as their candidate.
Oba Morontade tasked other traditional rulers in the area to support and continue to pray for his victory.

“This is the first time we are having a governorship candidate from Ejigbo. This is unprecedented. This is our own project and we are ready to give him the necessary support.”
Dr. Salaam in his address reiterated his commitment to transform Osun through his 10-point manifesto agenda.
He stressed that his administration is poised to providing free education and health to residents of the state.
OSUN DEFENDER reports that despite the heavy downpour, residents trooped out in their numbers to receive him in the two communities.
