Osun State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has urged the public to disregard the campaign posters of the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Mr. Gboyega Oyetola, which surfaced in strategic locations across Osogbo on Monday.

The party described the development as the handiwork of mischief-makers seeking to destabilise the APC in the state.

In a statement issued on Tuesday, APC’s Director of Media and Information in Osun, Kola Olabisi, condemned the act, stating that Oyetola neither authorised the printing nor the pasting of any campaign posters.

He described the move as a deliberate act of blackmail by political detractors who have exhausted all other means to cause disaffection within the party.

Olabisi noted that the masterminds behind the posters are well known and accused them of attempting to create confusion within the APC.

He likened their actions to a proverbial witch crying at night, only for a child to be found dead by morning, suggesting that the perpetrators had sinister motives.

He assured party members and supporters that the APC remains united and focused on its goals, undeterred by what he called the antics of “expired politicians pained by their forceful severance from the progressive family.”

Reaffirming the party’s commitment to discipline, justice, and fairness, the APC media director insisted that the minister has no political ambition at the moment.

He urged party members to remain vigilant and ignore what he termed a “desperate ploy to mislead the public.”

He further assured that the APC would not be swayed by the tactics of those seeking to exploit propaganda for political advantage.
