2026: Oyetola Rallies Osun APC For Unity, Strategic Focus Ahead Of Polls

The Minister of Marine and Blue Economy and former Governor of Osun State, Adegboyega Oyetola, has charged members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun to prioritise unity, discipline, and peaceful coexistence as the party positions itself for future electoral victories.

Speaking during a strategic stakeholders’ meeting on Friday at the Ilerioluwa Campaign Office in Osogbo, Oyetola emphasized the need for party cohesion and urged aspirants vying for various political offices to view one another as allies rather than rivals.

“As progressives, we must rise above internal divisions. Our mission is collective, and our strength lies in our unity.

“Let us not lose sight of the bigger picture as to the need to reclaim our state and continue the legacy of development and good governance,” he said.

He stressed that the current goal is to wrest power from the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state and restore APC’s developmental agenda.

The Minister also addressed the recently reinstated Local Government Chairmen and Councillors, charging them to uphold integrity and adhere strictly to constitutional principles and due process in the discharge of their duties.

Oyetola called on all party leaders and stakeholders to maintain unwavering loyalty to the APC by aligning themselves with the reform-driven agenda of President Bola Tinubu.

Key party figures were in attendance at the meeting, including Engr. Sola Akinwunmi, Chairman of the Igbimo Agba Osun (Elders’ Council); Osun APC Chairman, Sooko Tajudeen Lawal; former Deputy Governors Chief Mrs. Grace Titilayo Laoye Ponle and Mr. Benedict Olugboyega Alabi; Chief Shuaib Oyedokun; as well as former Speakers of the State House of Assembly and members of the APC State Executive Committee, among others.

The gathering ended with a unified pledge to uphold discipline and strategic collaboration in readiness for the political battles ahead.
