- Says Nigerians Have Accepted Party
National Secretary of the African Democratic Congress, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, says the ruling All Progressives Congress has failed Nigerians and that the ADC is now the only credible alternative ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Aregbesola, who spoke during the unveiling of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, Secretariat in Ilorin, said governance under the APC has been reduced to personal enrichment and political intimidation.
“Under the current administration, hunger has taken over the land. Nigerians are suffering because of the failure of leadership at all levels under the APC.”
He added that the ADC is fully prepared to challenge the ruling party at the polls in 2027, warning against any attempt to rig the election.

“We are not taking the election for granted. The will of the people must prevail, and we will protect their votes.”
Also speaking, former Kwara State governor, Abdulfatah Ahmed, described the ADC’s presence in the state as the beginning of a new dawn in Kwara politics.
“Kwara is going to be different because the ADC will drive a new political order that reflects the collective interest of our people.”
The party’s National Publicity Secretary and former Minister of Youth and Sports, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, dismissed the PDP as a “dead party” and described the ADC as the only viable alternative.
“Would you believe this party was unveiled just three months ago? That shows the people have embraced us. The question now is whether we can convince them that ADC is the only alternative and we will.”
Bolaji Abdullahi also expressed concern about rising insecurity in Kwara State, saying it is threatening the livelihoods of farmers and rural dwellers.
