2027: LP Endorses Peter Obi For Presidency, Otti, Rhodes-Vivour For Gov
The Labour Party (LP) has officially endorsed Mr. Peter Obi as its presidential candidate for the 2027 general election, declaring its commitment to unseating President Bola Tinubu’s All Progressives Congress (APC) through democratic means.
The party also reaffirmed its support for the re-election of Governor Alex Otti in Abia State and endorsed Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour as its governorship candidate in Lagos State.
The National Publicity Secretary of LP, Abayomi Arabambi, made this known while speaking on the party’s plans for the upcoming elections.
Arabambi expressed confidence that Peter Obi remains the best alternative to the APC-led government, citing the increasing dissatisfaction of Nigerians, particularly the youth, with President Tinubu’s policies.

He noted that the Labour Party is fully prepared to contest and reclaim power at the ballot box, insisting that the party will only seek victory through legitimate and democratic processes.
“Our major focus is getting the APC out of office only through the ballot box, if Nigerians so desire, and not through illegitimate means,” Arabambi stated.
He further emphasised that the 2027 elections would be a defining moment for Nigeria, with Peter Obi once again leading the charge for a better Nigeria under the LP.
The party, he said, remains united in its resolve to ensure good governance and a leadership that prioritises the welfare of the masses.
Arabambi assured party faithful that the LP will stand firmly behind Governor Otti and Rhodes-Vivour, as the party aims to consolidate its growing influence across the country ahead of the 2027 polls.
