The Social Democratic Party (SDP), Ile Ife branch has lost 23 of its members to the All Progressive Congress (APC).
Speaking on behalf of the decampees, Hon. Tunde Adams, a stakeholder of the SDP in Ile Ife, said the decision of the decampees is on the failure of the party’s leadership to carry its members along in major issues.
He added that time has come for every thinking and progressive Ife sons and daughters to join hands and be part of the journey to salvage the state.
Confirming the story, the APC secretary, Ife Central branch, Hon. Olufemi Francis, said that at least 23 SDP members have joined the party this week.
He expressed optimism that APC would continue be a ruling party across Nigeria at large.
He stressed that prominent politicians who are not satisfied with their respective parties, will soon join APC.
