24-Year-Old Allegedly Impersonating Kaduna Govt Arrested In Edo

The Edo State Police Command has arrested a 24-year-old, Destiny Paul, for allegedly impersonating the Kaduna State Government to defraud unsuspecting members of the public.

The arrest was disclosed by the Public Relations Officer of the Command, SP Chidi Nwabuzor, on Monday in Benin City.

According to the police PRO, the suspect was arrested by the operatives of the anti-kidnapping and cybercrime unit of the Command while acting on a petition from the Force Headquarters.

He added that the suspect was arrested through technical intelligence along Ubiaja-Uromi road in Edo State.

The petition, according to him, stated that a fraudster from Edo State was impersonating the Kaduna State Government and defrauding unsuspecting members of the public.

He said the suspect was geo-located to the Edo State Police Command’s jurisdiction.

The suspect confessed to using the Kaduna State Government profile to defraud people, according to the command image maker.

He explained that the officers attached to Force Headquarters have been contacted and are leading an investigative team from Kaduna to Edo State.

Nwabuzor added that the suspect would be handed over to the team from Abuja.
