27 Year-old Man Docked For Stealing Car

For allegedly stealing a Toyota Sienna Bus worth N1.8 million, a 27 years-old Johnson Michael has been dragged before an Osogbo magistrate Court.

The charge sheet read that the accused person committed the offence on October 7, 2017 at Deborah Event Centre, Osogbo, at about 3:00pm.

According to the charge sheet, the accused person stole the bus with Registration Number LND 974 AZ, a property of One Abu Lukman Olatunbosun an offence contrary to and punishable under section 390 of the State penal code.

The accused person pleaded not guilty to a charge leveled against him.

The defence counsel, Okobe Najite prayed the court to grant his client bail in the most liberal terms.

Police prosecutor, Sergeant Duro Adekunle did not object the application of bail.

The presiding magistrate, Ayo Ayeni granted the accused person bail in the sum of N250,000 and two sureties in the like sum.

He then adjourned the case till December 22, 2017 for mention.
