40-Year-Old Woman Arrested For Allegedly Kidnapping Three School Children

An unidentified 40-year-old woman has been arrested by the Lagos State Police Command for attempting to kidnap 3 school pupils.

Osun Defender gathered that the suspect was arrested on Monday following a distress call by the headmaster of the school that some unknown persons invaded the school and abducted three pupils on the school premises.

The suspect, along with some of her gang members, was said to have positioned their operational motorcycles close to the school premises, waiting for other members who went inside to get their targets.

The police spokesman, Benjamin Hundeyin, while confirming the incident, said the culprits were given a hot chase, one of the suspects was arrested, and the children were rescued.

Hudeyin said that other unknown suspects escaped with an unregistered motorcycle upon sighting the police.

The victims, aged 4, 5, and 6 years according to the PRO, have been reunited with their families while the investigation is ongoing.
