The Governor of the State of Osun, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola has praised and lauded the Ooni Of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwunsi on his peace and development drive he has maintained across the entire Yoruba race.
Aregbesola, in a congratulatory message signed by him, copies of which were obtained by our correspondent in Ile Ife, praised the Ooni on the positive impact he is making.
The statement reads, ” I write to heartily felicitate with you on the occasion of your 44th birthday anniversary which comes up on Wednesday, 17th October, 2018. You undoubtedly have every cause to be grateful to Almighty God for preserving your life to witness this memorable milestone and for the wonderful things He has done in your life.
“Kabiyesi, I join Oduduwa household, your entire subjects and other well wishers across the country and in the diaspora to felicitate with you on this attainment. Attaining this age is remarkable but making positive impact on the society is cardinal. It is incontrovertible that the challenges of leadership are quite enormous but we thank Almighty God for seeing you through. Since you assumed the throne of your forefathers, Ife people and indeed Yorubaland has witnessed unprecedented peace and development. I thank God for your life.
” Your munificence, wisdom and courage have served as a source of inspiration, not only to your people but also those who are intimately close to you. Indeed you have lived a successful and fulfilled life, and your people are proud and privileged to be your loyal subjects.
” As you traverse beyond this age, we pray that Almighty God grants you sound health, more wisdom and long life on the throne of your forebears. “
