An Osogbo Magistrate court has remanded a 48-year-old man, Ayinde Tajudeen in prison custody for allegedly inflicting injuries on a woman Mrs Ayinde Omolora and two police officers on duty.
Ayinde Tajudeen was docked on a two count charge of assault and has no legal representation.
The prosecutor, Jafani Muslim told the court that the defendant committed the offence on May 14 2018 at about 10.pm at Oke – Onitea in Osogbo.
He explained that the suspect assaulted Mrs Ayinde by slapping her face which led to her sustaining injuries.
Prosecutor alleged that the accused also Assaulted one Sergent Owoseni Olawale and Aliu Sodiq by tearing their clothes while performing their lawful duty
Inspector Muslim stated further that the offence is contrary to and punishable under section 355 and section 353 laws of Osun State 2003.
The defendant pleaded guilty to the two-count charge alleged against him.
The Magistrate, Mr O. T Badmus ordered that the accused person be remanded in Ilesha prison custody and thereby adjourned the case to May 18 for presentation of facts on the matter.
