5 Easy Ways To Apply For New Multi-Purpose NIMC Card
The National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) has introduced a cutting-edge identity card with advanced features, such as payment capabilities, as part of its latest innovations.
In partnership with the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and the Nigeria Inter-bank Settlement System, this initiative launches the AfriGO card, a domestic national card aimed at transforming how Nigerians access social and financial services.
Crafted to address the growing need for a dependable physical identification solution, the fresh NIMC card empowers Nigerians to easily verify their identity when accessing government and private sector services alike.
The multifaceted functionalities of the card mark a significant advancement in the nation’s identification and financial infrastructure, consolidating diverse services into a unified and convenient platform.
In addition to its primary function as a national ID, the card will facilitate financial transactions and access to a range of services, underpinning the government’s push towards a more integrated and efficient administrative framework.
It also aligns with the digital financial strategy, being compatible with the eNaira, and adhering to the EMV operational and security standards, ensuring a secure and reliable user experience.
The NIMC has issued instructions on how citizens can obtain this versatile card, marking the start of a new chapter in Nigeria’s national identity management and financial inclusivity.
