Acting President of Nigeria, Prof. Yemi Osinbanjo has admonished Osun corps members to use entrepreneurship skill for advancement of the Nation.
Osinbanjo disclosed this in his speech delivered by Osun State Commissioner for Youths, Empowerment and Engagement, Mrs Folake Adegboyega at closing ceremony of 2017 Batch ‘A’ Stream ll corps members held at NYSC orientation camp, Ede.
According to her, “Do not hesitate to impart on the people, especially the adolescents and youths, the skills you have learnt through the skill acquisition and entrepreneurship development programme”
“The entrepreneurship skill you acquired should be used in the development of the nation and betterment of humanity”.
However, Osinbanjo assured the security of the corps members across the country
He said “security agents, traditional rulers, local government executive secretaries have all been informed of your coming and are therefore, prepared to receive you upon your arrival at various local governments”.
Meanwhile, Osun State Director of NYSC, Mr Emmanuel Attah pleaded to the government to upgrade the orientation camp facilities and build more hostels in view of the ever increasing corps members population.
Attah added that, few years to come the camp will not be able to accommodate the number of prospective corps members that will be posted to the state.
He urged them to show the same commitment, focus and dedication exhibited within the period of the orientation in their respective host communities and places of primary assignments”.
