Osun State Police has arraigned a 25-years-old ex-convict, Saheed Adeoti before Osogbo Magistrate court for burglary in Osogbo.
According to the charge presented to court by the prosecutor, Inspector Fagboyinbo Abiodun, accused Saheed of committing the offense on 19th and 20th of August, 2017 at Hallelujah area and Oroki Estate in Osogbo.
The charge read “The accused did break and entered into the house of one Atanda Hammed with intent to commit felony.
“Saheed did steal one LED television valued 43,000 and jewelries valued 15,000 property of Atanda Hammed.
”On the 19th of August 2017 at Oroki Estate in Oosogbo, did break and entered the house of one Oyetunde Oyesiji with intent to commit felony.
”Did steal DVD player valued 10,000 and oneFluorescentt lamp valued 10,000 property of Oyetunde Oyesiji.”
The charge added that the offense committed by the accused is contrary to and punishable under section 516, section 411 section 390(9) of the criminal code cap 34 volume. 11 laws of osun state 2003.
Saheed who doesn’t have legal counsel pleaded not guilty to all counts pressed against him.
Before court made the ruling the prosecutor, Fagboyinbo prayed the court that ” Saheed should not be granted bail for he was an ex-convict on same offence that brought him to court today.
The magistrate, Mrs Sodamade turned down the prayer of the prosecutor as she granted bail to Saheed with the sum of N500,000 with two sureties in like sum and adjourn the case to October 5th for hearing.
