Ooni Gives Aregbesola Pass Mark For Fulfilling Promises To People
The Ooni of Ife, Oba Enitan Ogunwusi, has given the Governor of the state of Osun, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbeola a pass mark in the delivery of good governance, saying that he has fulfilled his campaign promises to the people of Ife and the state at large.
Oba Ogunwusi described Aregbesola as a person that has the fear of God, hence the good works and great achievements that has continued to trail his administration.
The Royal father stated this on Monday at his palace when the governor paid him a visit before a town hall meeting with the people of Ife Federal Constituency.
The monarch while appealing to the people of Osun to continue to show support for the Aregbesola’s administration, noted that the entire state had never had it so good in terms of infrastructural development.
Oba Ogunwusi who called on members of the ruling All Progressives Congress in the state to be united, called on residents of the state to embrace peace and ensure a violent free politicking.
He explained that the current spate of growth and development being enjoyed in the state can only continue in an atmosphere of peace and tranquility.
The frontline monarch said: “Aregbesola has been faithful on his promises to the people of Osun and this is because he is a God fearing man and I commend him for this. Osun has no doubt thrived and developed under the administration of Aregbesola and this I am so proud of.
“But there is something we must all be mindful about if this growth and development must continue. The current peace in the state must continue especially among the APC Osun.
“The coming political dispensation in Osun must be peaceful if the development in Osun must continue. I also want to use this forum to tell Osun people that government can not do it alone, this government needs your support to succeed.”
In his address, Aregbesola thanked the royal father for always being a supporter of positive developments in the state, just as he declared that the state will never retrogress again.
He said he and his team decided to pay homage to the king in the palace prior to the town hall meeting of the APC as a sign of respect to the throne and Ife land in general.
