The Gboyega Oyetola Campaign Organisation has exposed the plan of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to brand some vehicles with the name and picture of Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola, alongside that of the All Progressives Congress.
In a release, the Organisation insisted the move, which also includes the branding of vests and fez caps in the name and logo of the All Progressives Congress (APC) was being hatched to wreak havoc across some principal towns in Osun, using principally the branded vehicles and other brands to discredit the APC as a party of violence and an unpopular party.
The scheme which is arranged to be prosecuted just few days to election is meant to paint APC as a party of violence, and one which is less popular than it is, with a purpose of dissuading members from voting for the candidate of the party in the election.
Reports from impeccable sources also revealed that a decampee from the party (APC) from Osogbo local government has been in high connivance to perpetrate the dastardly act. The said former council boss was also reported to have concluded arrangements to run away to Germany on health pretense shortly after the mayhem.
The organisation said: “PDP is planning to brand cars and Gov., The PDP has branded a bus with Oyetola’s name and picture to cause havoc in some principal towns in Osun and make it seem as if our men are responsible.
“Few days to election, they are likely to brand a vehicle with the insignia of one of the radio stations in Osun. Some of the guys they contracted are known to us. Why this extremeness of callousness, just because someone desires winning an election remains a serious puzzle to every right thinking individual.
“Lovers of progress must condemn PDP on this. Life is sacred, and whoever seeks to take it, especially without justifiable reasons must be popularly condemned and generally stopped. PDP and their cohorts in the opposition camp represent violence, the kind that stands opposed to progress, happiness, and development of residents and indigenes of the state of Osun. Let the people beware!
