Man In Prison Over N200,000 Fraud

A 30-year-old man, Taiwo Kazeem was docked on Friday September 14, 2018 before a Magistrate Court in Osogbo over alleged fraud.
The prosecutor, Olayiwola Rasaq informed the court that the accused person committed the offence sometimes in the month of July 2018, at about 10:00am at 38 Kasmo Crescent, Off Ibokun road Oke Baale Osogbo.
The defendant allegedly sold 33 cartons of Kasmo medicated soap product worth N200,000 and failed to remit the money to the company account and convert the money for his own use.
The prosecutor stated that the offence contravenes section 390 of the criminal code cap 34 Vol 11 laws of Osun state of Nigeria 2002.
Kazeem pleaded guilty to the single charge preferred against him.
The Magistrate, O. A Ayilara found the accused person guilty of the one count charge.
In his judgment, the accused person was sentenced to one month imprisonment.
The case was adjourned to October 17, 2018 for judgement.
