Jailed Kenyan Politician, John Gakuo Is Dead
Former Nairobi Town Clerk, John Gakuo is dead.
The politician who is often referred to as the ‘Saviour of Nairobi’ died this morning October 30th at Mbagathi Hospital.
Gakuo was on Monday rushed to the hospital from Nairobi Remand Prison in Industrial Area after developing health complications.
His lawyer Asa Nyakundi has confirmed the death saying the 68 year-old.
Gakuo was serving three-year sentences after being found guilty of participating in contributing to the loss of public money during the purchase of a 120-acre cemetery land in Mavoko in 2008, where Sh238 million was paid irregularly.
