Man In Court For Destroying Osun House Of Assembly Properties

The State of Osun Police Command, has arraigned before a Magistrate Court sitting in Osogbo, State capital, a 28-year-old man, Ifeanyi Eze, for allegedly destroying some properties of the State House of Assembly.
Police Prosecutor, Oladoye Joshua told the court that the accused person with others at large between 12 and 13 August, 2018 at the House of Assembly, unlawfully damaged three Toyota Haice buses side glasses valued N150,000 and also stole three brain boxes of a Coaster bus and two Hummer buses valued N530,000.
Joshua said the accused person with others at large on the same day at Ogo-oluwa area, also damaged three Hummer buses value yet unknown of one Lasisi Kasimu Ishola.
Other properties the accused person with others at large stole included five Hummer buses brain boxes, two full lights, fork light, side mirrors, car stereo type, A/C verbs, side relays and fuse of Nissan Infinity Jeep, all valuing N1,550,000 of Lasisi Kasimu Ishola.
The Prosecutor stated further that the accused person with others at large on the 24th of August, damaged three Lexus jeep valued N350,000 and also stole five side mirrors, two stainness pads, eight iron lining crones and eight rubber crones valued N350,000, properties of one Kareem Babatunde and Ajayi Adesina Motors.
Joshua added that the offences are contrary to sections 383(1), 451, 516, and punishable under section 390(9)(10A) of the Criminal Code Cap 34, vol. II, Laws of Osun State of Nigeria 2002.
However in his plea, the accused pleaded not guilty of the charges preferred against him and his counsel, Barrister A O Emmanuel, prayed the court to grant him bail in the most liberal terms.
In his ruling, Magistrate Fatima Sodamade granted the accused person bail of N2,000,000 with one surety in the like sum.
