Osun House of Assembly has passed the state of Administration of Criminal Justice bill 2018.
This came into being after the motion moved by the lawmaker representing Boripe/Boluwaduro State Constituency and seconded by Hon. Festus Komolafe representing Atakunmosa East/West at plenary presided over by Speaker of the House, Dr Najeem Salaam.
He said that the bill would help the state to be at rest against criminal activities in the state, while also to check bad behaviours in the society. According to him, “Osun assembly now join other state of the federation that have passed this bill”.
Dr. Salaam appreciated his colleagues and committee that worked effectively on the bill.
However, the third reading and final passage of the state of Osun administration of criminal justice bill 2018 by the state assembly was attended by exhaustive debate by the lawmakers.
The issues were raised by legislator on some aspects of the bill just as observation made on some clauses was agreed upon. Therefore, based on concurrence by the lawmakers and motion duly moved, the bill went for third reading and was consequently passed.
The speaker, Dr Salaam appreciated colleagues for the job well-done and expressed the belief that the Governor would soon give his assent in other to make it effective in the state.
