The lawmaker representing Ilesa East state Constituency, Timothy Owoeye has been elected speaker of the 7th Osun state House of Assembly.
Owoeye, the Majority Leader of the 6th Assembly was unanimously elected the speaker and was sworn-in at the chambers on Thursday in presence of Governor Gboyega Oyetola.
Owoeye was elected immediately after the inauguration of the 26 members of the assembly by Governor Oyetola with 23 belonging to the ruling All Progressives Congress APC and 3 of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party PDP.
