Okorocha Chairs Culture And Tourism Committee As Senate Announces Standing Committees

The immediate past Governor of Imo state, Senator Rochas Okorocha has been named the Chairman, Committee on Culture and Tourism of the 9th Senate.

The Senator representing Osun central Senatorial District, Dr Ajibola Basiru was named the Chair of the Senate Committee on Diaspora, NGO and Civil Societies.

The President of the Senate, Dr Ahmad Lawan announced a total of 69 standing committees for the tenure of the 9th senate.

Headlining the leadership of Committees are; Sen. Jubril Barau (APC-Kano) is the Chairman, Appropriation Committee, Sen. Adeola Olamilekan (APC-Lagos); Finance Committee and Sen. Opeyemi Bamidele (APC-Ekiti); Judiciary Committee.

The Senate has adjourned till September 24 to observe its annual recess.
