The Lagos State Commissioner for Transportation, Dr Frederic Oladeinde has announced the plan of State Government to shut all vehicular movement around the Teslim Balogun Stadium for the Super Eagles match versus Lesotho today.
According to him, the roads will be shut from 10.00am to 10.00pm.
The Commissioner maintained that the closure will help men of the Lagos State Transport Management Agency (LASTMA) and security agencies to effectively manage traffic better and tighten security in and around the stadium.
Part of the statement made available to news men reads, “In line with this development, motorists are advised to avoid movement around the stadium from 10.00am. Traffic approaching Teslim Balogun from Ojuelegba and Alaka/Eric Moore can only pass through the flyover.”
The statement further explained that only vehicles with VVIP stickers or tickets would be allowed to approach the stadium and park, also vehicles conveying persons with VVIP tickets would be permitted to drive into the Teslim Balogun Stadium.
The Commissioner appealed to motorists along the axis to cooperate with the LASTMA and other security agencies to minimize expected inconveniences.
