On Sunday, unknown gunmen stormed the ancient city of Ora-Igbomina, in Ifedayo Local Government area of the State and whisked away daughter of a prominent Fulani man in the community, Alhaji Bayo.
OSUN DEFENDER gathered that the gunmen in their numbers were fully armed with sophisticated ammunitions, among which were AK-47 riffle, and two pump actions.
Bayo, the father of the abducted girl said, “They shot at me severally but they were unable to overpower me. They in turn, descended on my daughter and she was taken away.”
Confirming the incident via telephone conversation, a Police source in the axis said, “We were called to response to that distress call yesterday night and we were there till this moment”, the officer said.
Public Relations Officer, Osun Police Command, Mrs Yemisi Opalola also confirmed the development.
