Provide $1,000 for ticket, visa – Ukraine Tells Nigerian Volunteered Fighters
The Embassy of Ukraine in Nigeria has said that Nigerians who are willing to travel to Ukraine to fight Russian forces must be willing to provide $1,000 for ticket and visa.
The embassy made this known when Nigerian men besieged its premises, after president Volodymyr Zelenskyy said anyone who wants to fight for Ukraine should find a way to Ukraine.
A Secretary at the Ukrainian Embassy to Nigeria, Bohdan Soltys, confirmed that $1,000 would be needed by Nigerian volunteers to enter the embattled country, ukraine.
The announcement appeared shocking and disappointing to Nigerians who lamented that the price was too high, after expecting to be paid $7700 per month.
