Contrary to widespread viral stories that the financial plartform app, PalmPay, has been hacked, the online financial institution has come out to deny the claims.
In a series of tweets on its official Twitter handle @palmpayapp on Saturday, the plartform said, “It has come to our attention that there are reports of PalmPay accounts being hacked.
“Please be aware that this is incorrect information as there are no fraudulent activities going on with PalmPay.”
The plartform however acknowledged that their system is experiencing downtime which will be resolved in no time.
“We are currently experiencing system downtime and are working hard to ensure that all services are restored as soon as possible.
“As always, our customers come first, and we will do everything in our power to provide you with the best service possible.”
