PDP Crisis: Wike Shuns PDP Governorship Candidate, Declares For Sanwo-Olu
Amidst the ongoing crisis of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Governor Nyesom Wike has shunned the governorship candidate of the party and endorsed Babajide Sanwo-Olu of the All Progressive Congress.
Sanwo-Olu is Governor Wike’s counterpart in Lagos State.
Sanwo-Olu’s Chief Press Secretary, Gboyega Akosile, disclosed the endorsement in a statement on Tuesday.
The statement reads, “Breaking: Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike endorses Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu for second term in office. Details later,” Akosile wrote.
Wike endorsed APC candidate despite his party, PDP, having a governorship candidate in Lagos, Olajide Adediran (Jandor).
