Charity Organisation Donates Food Items, Cash To Widows In Ila Orangun
An international charity organisation, SW Nigeria wing, Ayodele Agboola Foundation, has doled out food items and cash to hundreds of widows in Ila-Orangun, Osun State.
As a part of measures to help support vulnerable persons in the society, the non-governmental organisation on Thursday, May 4, 2023, in Ila-Orangun distributed the relief packages to the beneficiaries.

Major edibles: rice; beans; gari; among others, were voted for distributions and accompanied by stipend to cater for their domestic needs.
The donor reiterated this altruistic gesture as an onwardly exercise of reaching out to the indigent widows.
Founder and Executive Director of the NGO, Mr Ayodele Agboola, while commenting on the May 2023 edition of the programme, said the humanitarian gesture aligns with the foundation’s vision of assisting vulnerable groups in order to alleviate their suffering.
“This social security scheme was floated 3 years ago to improve the well-being of widows, the physically challenged, the elderly, students from less privileged homes and other disadvantaged groups. Our goal is to lend a hand of support and rekindle the hope of this set of individuals, irrespective of their gender, religion, political affiliation, and ethnic group,” Agboola noted.
The US-based philanthropist further stated that the group is set to empower young widows by organizing periodic trainings on vocational skills and providing grants to enable them to start small-scale businesses to support their families.
Beneficiaries of the scheme have expressed gratitude to the group for showing concern for their plight.
Mrs. Rachel Ibikunle, who spoke to newsmen on behalf of other widows at the event, said: ”We thank Ayodele Agboola Foundation for this effort. This support has been a lifeline for many widows in the area. May God reward the donor with great blessings. We are sincerely grateful for this direly needed, timely, and consistent aid.”
Rev. Fadun of First Baptist church Ila-Orangun eulogize Ayodele Agboola Foundation on behalf of his congregants. He said “the act of giving is in line with the commandments of God to all men,” just as he prayed for the success of this Foundation in all front.
In the remark of the Chief Imam of Ila-Orangun, through his side said Ayodele had been a worthy son of soil, with unwavering kindness to all and sundry, praying God to accept his act of giving.
The Head of Caregiver Department of the Ayodele Agboola Foundation, Mr Kola Adeleke, told journalists that the subsequent exercise shall continue to wear a newer look, and this kind gesture shall waxed unabated. He thanks the beneficiaries for their decorum and orderliness.
