2026 WCQ: Nigeria Battles S/Africa, Benin, Three Others
The Super Eagles of Nigeria will face regular foes South Africa and former coach, Gernot Rohr in a bid to qualify for the next FIFA World Cup holding in the United States of America, Canada and Mexico.
The Super Eagles have been drawn in Group C alongside South Africa, Benin Republic, Rwanda, Lesotho, and Zimbabwe for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
The draws ceremony was held on Thursday in Abidjan, Cote’d’Ivoire.
The winner of the group will automatically qualify for the expanded World Cup to be co-hosted by the United States of America, Mexico, and Canada.
Drawn in Group C, Nigeria will face Benin Republic, now managed by Rohr along with Zimbabwe, Rwanda and Lesotho.
