Yoruba Man Abducted By IPOB Terrorist Group Released

The proscribed terrorist organisation, the Inidgenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has reportedly released a Yoruba man, Abiodun Oladeji, who was abducted recently.

In a viral video on X (formerly Twitter), Nigerians repeatedly called for Oladeji’s release after the IPOB men threatened to kill him.

Report has it that Oladeji was released after paying N3.5 million as ransom to his abductors.

Recall that a few days back, the terrorist organisation stopped the car he was in and indicated that they spared the driver because he is Igbo but they specifically took the Yoruba man because he is from the Yoruba ethnic group.

In the said video, Oladeji was already wounded with the IPOB terrorists threatening to kill him because he is a kinsman of President Bola Tinubu.

A X (formerly Twitter) user Aare Ayodeji @omolisabi1 announced in a post that Oladeji is back in his residence qnd would be hosted on a Spaces, to narrate his ordeal.

He wrote: “Hey everyone, just as I said I would, I managed to get a video of him as soon as he reached his home. Thankfully, with the help of Olodumare, he has finally made it to his place and is currently getting medical attention in the hospital. Also, a big shoutout to @BokiniKale for organizing a potential Twitter space with him on Thursday.”

The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) is a renowned terrorist organisation, famous for the declaration of a ‘illegal and forceful’ Monday sit-at-home across Nigeria’s South East region and was proscribed by the Federal Government, when it engaged in maimings and killings owing to the arrest and detention of its leader, Nnamdi Kanu, currently facing treason related charges.
