Ife Chief Priests Begin Spiritual Rites For Ooni’s New Twins
Chief Priests in Ile-Ife, otherwise known as the Isoros have commenced necessary spiritual rites as a build up to the formal arrival of the new twins of Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi.
Recall that the Ooni on Saturday welcomed twins, a prince and a princess with one of his queens, Olori Tobi.
However, in a statement on Saturday, the spokesperson to the monarch, Comrade Moses Olafare said the Isoros in conformity with the traditional customs and culture of the Ife have begun necessary spiritual rites for the new twins.
According to the statement, “A great news broke out at the Ile Oodua Palace of the Ooni of Ife early hours of this morning sequel to a safe delivery of a twin set of babies; Prince and princess with mother; Her Majesty, Olori Tobiloba Ogunwusi and babies in good healthy conditions.
“While the palace has since become a beehive of well wishing activities and visits from far and near in felicitations with the Ife Royal Family, other necessary spiritual rites as a buildup to the formal arrival of the new royal babies to the palace expected to happen very soon have begun as being handled by the Ife Chief Priests otherwise known as The Isoros in conformity with the traditional customs and culture of the Ife Kingdom which is the ancestral home of the Yoruba and several other races around the world.
