Fubara Reshuffles Cabinet, Moves Wike’s Loyalists From Key Ministries
Two loyalists of Nyesom Wike, Minister of Federal Capital Territory (FCT), in the Rivers State Cabinet, have been moved from their ministries to others in a fresh cabinet reshuffling by the state Governor, Siminalayi Fubara.
This was coming a day after the governor’s assent was overruled by the pro-Wike-led Rivers House of Assembly, which passed the Local Government (Amendment) Bill into law.
Secretary to the Rivers State Government, Tammy Danagogo, announced in a statement on Tuesday, that Fubara had redeployed Zacchaeus Adangor, Attorney-General, and Justice Commissioner to the Ministry of Special Duties (Governor’s Office), while the Commissioner for Finance, Isaac Kamalu, was moved to the Ministry of Employment Generation and Economic Empowerment.
Danagogo directed the duo, who resigned in the heat of the Wike-Fubara rift, to hand over official documents related to their previous offices to their respective Permanent Secretaries, with immediate effect.
“All hand-over processes must be completed immediately,” the statement read.
