Rivers CP Speaks On Personnel Taking Over Lawmakers’ Quarters
The Commissioner of Police in Rivers State, Olatunji Disu, has disclosed that its personnel didn’t take over the Rivers State House of Assembly Quarters in Port Harcourt.
Disu while making clarification about the presence of police at the Assembly Quarters, said the personnel were solely there to prevent any breach of law and order.
Osun Defender reports that the presence of armed security officers was sighted at the assembly quarters on Friday amid the ongoing leadership tussle in the assembly.

Disu who spoke on Friday in an exclusive interview with Channels Television, explained that contrary to reports of heavy police presence at the Assembly quarters, only four patrol vehicles were posted there.
When asked about the interim court order restraining pro-Wike lawmakers from parading themselves as legislators, Disu said that the command had yet to receive official notification from the court.
