Cheerers, observers and supporters are praising Samson Ajao, popularly known as ‘Impeccable’, a bibliophage who has since Monday embarked on a journey of setting a new Guiness World Record for the longest marathon reading aloud, which has today reached 150 hours, out of his target 214 hours.
Ajao’s Publicity team disclosed this today, through a statement made available to Osun Defender.
The publicity team noted that, “As we celebrate the milestone of 150 hours, it is important to reflect on the journey that has brought us to this point. It has been a journey marked by perseverance, resilience, and a deep-seated belief in the power of reading to transform lives.

“Despite the inevitable challenges and obstacles that have arisen along the way, participants have remained steadfast in their commitment to the cause, drawing strength from one another and from the knowledge that their efforts are making a difference.”
Impeccable, who has now started getting public attention and has attained a significant milestone of 150 hours, therefore, surpassing current Guinness World Record holder for longest marathon reading aloud, Rysbai Isakov, from Bursa, Turkey, with 124 hours reading aloud marathon, from September 22-27, 2022, 26 hours.
Osun Defender had reported how dignitaries have been visiting Adolak Conference Hall, in Osogbo, Osun state, where Ajao is attempting to set a new World Record for the longest marathon reading aloud.
Some of the visitors on Sunday included the leadership of Faculty of Management Studies, Osun State Polytechnic, Iree, led by the Dean of the Faculty, DR. P. O. Ogunleye.
Others were the former Senior Special Assistant to Former Governor Gboyega Oyetola, Kehinde Ayantunji.
