Kano: Emir Sanusi Not Bayero Will Lead Jumat Prayer At Central Mosque – Police
The Kano State Police Command has said the information circulating that the 15th Emir of Kano Alhaji Aminu Bayero, would lead the Friday prayers at the Central Mosque is untrue.
The Commissioner of Police, Usaini Gumel, in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Friday, said Bayero will observe his Friday prayers in the mosque within the Nasarawa Palace, where he currently resides.
The commissioner added that the 16th Emir Muhammad Sanusi II will lead the Jummah prayers at the Central mosque.
He noted that the police and other state security agencies will provide robust security at the Emir Sanusi’s Palace.

โThe police urge the general public to disregard the false reports and misinformation circulating on social media and go about their activities without fear of molestation or intimidation.
โThe police will continue to provide necessary security to ensure that residents observe their Friday congressional prayers peacefully without threats to their lives and property,โ he said.
He urged the people to volunteer credible information on the movement of dubious characters for prompt security action in the state. (NAN)
