The Omoluabi Progressives, a caucus of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun, has commenced the registration of its members across Osun.
They were led by the immediate-past Minister of Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, and the leaders of the caucus at the June edition of its monthly stakeholders meeting in Ilesa, on Saturday, according to a statement signed by Abosede Oluwaseun, the Organising and Publicity Secretary of the caucus.
The caucus also unveiled its website, which will allow members the opportunity to follow its activities, as well as register for its membership all over the world.
Addressing the stakeholders after registering his membership of the caucus from Ward 08, Ilesa East Local Government, Aregbesola stated that notable forces in determining the electoral fortune of the state are with the caucus and its activities.
He urged members not to relent in their mobilisation efforts, especially at the grassroots, as it is key to achieving the vision of the caucus.

The former Governor of Osun said, “There is no one who has not felt the wind of the Omoluabi Progressives in the state. Those who knew what we did to them as opposition have started talking to us because they know our capacity and the fact that we are the real politicians who deeply connect with the grassroots.
“There is no doubting the fact that God is with us. By the time we unveil our direction, everyone else who shares in our vision will come on board. I want to assure you that God is with us.
“I want to charge you to continue to mobilise for us and bring heavyweight politicians into the Omoluabi Progressives. It is factual that all the people of Osun love, adore, and are behind us. We must, however, not relent and continue to propagate our virtues and core ethos.”
In his remarks, the Chairman, Omoluabi Progressives, Alhaji Azeez Adesiji thanked all members for their support.
He announced that the last federal constituency tour of the state executive committee was successful, urging all members to remain united to pursue the common vision of the caucus.
Adesiji also called on the leadership of the Omoluabi Progressives to further educate members on its vision, pledging his readiness to promptly attend to issues.
“On behalf of the state executive committee, I want to thank everyone for their support to the vision and mission of Omoluabi. I am happy to report that at the last federal constituency meeting, we had the opportunity to resolve every issue on the ground, and the caucus is now stronger.
“It is also heartwarming to let everyone know that we are welcoming new members into the fold every day. I urge our chairmen and leaders to come together and educate all of our members on what we do and represent as Omoluabis. By the grace of God, we will reach the desired zenith.
“We want to urge stakeholders not to relent in your efforts at making Omoluabi Progressives produce the next government in Osun in 2026. As we move on with our assignments, we will be reaching out to you to review your giant strides and provide the required assistance. We are here for you,” Adesiji stated.
The Chairmen of the Omoluabi Progressives at the local government level across the state were presented the code of conduct and ethics of the caucus and gave reports of their activities at the meeting.
The meeting also saw the entry of grassroots politicians across the state into the fold.
Meanwhile, the website of the group, omoluabiprogressives.com has been unveiled. On the website, the group’s charter and audio visual materials can be accessed. It was stated that supporters of the group and members of the public outside of Osun can register for their membership or register to volunteer for the group on the website.
Some of the dignitaries at the meeting were former Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Dr. Najeem Salaam, former SSG, Alhaji Moshood Adeoti, Former APC Chairman in State of Osun, Reverend Lowo Adebiyi, former Cabinet members, former executives of the party in Osun, Members of the State Executive Committee of Omoluabi Progressives, among others.
