Hardship: Distributing Cash As Palliative Sign Of A Failed Administration – Momodu Writes Tinubu
A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Dele Momodu, has written an open letter to President Bola Tinubu, saying Nigeria is in trouble.
Momodu noted that the economy has collapsed under President Bola Tinubu.
The veteran journalist said Tinubu was engaging in reckless waste by purchasing private jets, building monuments, and distributing palliative rather than fixing the collapsed economy.
Momodu lamented that the waste by Tinubuโs government is a sign of a failed administration.
Momodu in the letter, said there would be resources for development if Tinubu can curb the resources in his government.
The letter posted on his Facebook page reads partly: โNigeria is in big trouble. Our economy has virtually collapsed. And whatโs the way out? Youโve been wasting too much money at a time that requires absolute frugality.
โPlease, stop this reckless propensity for wasting scarce resources.
โPurchasing Presidential jets, building outlandish monuments, distributing cash as palliatives, etc, are signs of a failed and careless government.
โIf you can curb the excessive spending of your government, you will free up a lot of resources for serious development.โ
