The Oyo State Government, through the State Post Primary Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM), has made adjustments to the schedule for the upcoming computer-based tests (CBT) set to take place next week.

This decision was made in light of the anticipated nationwide protest scheduled to potentially begin on August 1, 2024.

Recall that the Chairman of TESCOM, Pastor Akinade Alamu, in Ibadan, announced that the CBT examination for job seekers was fixed for July 29 – August 2, 2024.

To prevent any possible disruptions, Alamu disclosed that the Commission, along with its collaborating organizations, such as the University of Ibadan DLC management, have agreed to shorten the examination period to three days.

As a result, the examination will now start on Monday, July 29, 2024, and conclude on July 31, 2024.

Alamu assured that all necessary preparations have been completed in coordination with relevant parties, emphasizing that this adjustment will not jeopardize the candidates’ opportunities.

Furthermore, he reiterated that the management of DLC agreed to provide more facilities, men and logistics to the already provided support.

“After a tripartite meeting among all relevant stakeholders, DLC has agreed to provide more halls, Computers, and facilities, so that the test can spread across three days,” the TESCOM chair said in a statement made available to newsmen
